Yorkshire Matchplay Golf Pairs Championship


Eligibility

For pairs of male golfers, aged 16 or over, holding an active handicap (max 28) at a golf club affiliated to the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs.


Entry-Fee

£25 per pair.

Format

4-Ball Betterball matchplay knockout initially contested on a regional basis - North, East, South & West. The first round (and a preliminary round if necessary) is played on a home and away basis over 36 holes. To see which area your golf club falls into click here

Subsequent rounds are played over 18 holes with a draw being made for home advantage. The four Regional Finals will be played over 36-holes on a home and away basis with the winners of each invited to compete in the Grand Final at The Alwoodley Golf Club. 

3/4 handicap difference will apply, however, golfers with a handicap of 19-28 must play off 18. Golfers do not need to be from the same golf club.


Prizes

Regional Final winners receive an invitation to the Grand Final for an all expenses paid day of golf and food at one of Yorkshire's finest golf courses - The Alwoodley Golf Club. 

The over Pairs champions win a golf voucher for £500 with prizes for all Grand Final competitors. Full details here.
