Eligibility and Prizes:
Am I eligible to enter the Yorkshire Matchplay Championship?
To enter the championship you must be a male golfer, aged 16 or over on January 1st 2010, with an active handicap held at a golf club affiliated to the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs.
What is an ‘active' handicap?
Entrants need to hold an active CONGU handicap. If you are a member of a golf club affiliated to the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs and have played in at least three qualifying competitions between January 1st and December 31st 2009 you should be eligible. If you are not sure ask your secretary who will be able to tell you.
What is the maximum handicap limit?
Golfers with a handicap of up to 28 can enter but those with a handicap of 19-28 must compete off the maximum playing handicap of 18.
How do I enter

Can lady golfers enter?
2010 is the inaugural year of the championship and unfortunately it is only open to male golfers during our first year. In 2011 we expect there to be an additional Ladies and Mixed competition.
Can I enter both the Individual & Pairs competitions?
Yes. However because the Grand Final for both championships is held on the same day, if in the unlikely scenario :-O you reach the last four of both competitions, you must find a replacement golfer for the Pairs competition. Golfers do not need to be from the same club when entering the Pairs event.
